Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information Drashti Beauty Salon collects when you book an appointment or use this website, why we collect it, where it is stored and how you can ask us to change or delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
In short: we collect your name and mobile number so we can book and confirm your appointment. We do not take payments on this website, we never ask for card or bank details online, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who we are
Drashti Beauty Salon, 260a Sayers Road, Truganina VIC 3029, Australia.
Phone 0424 326 982.
What we collect
When you book an appointment online, we ask for:
- your name
- your mobile number
- the services you have chosen, your preferred date and time, and a staff member if you pick one
To confirm the mobile number belongs to you, we text you a six digit code and ask you to enter it. This prevents bookings being made against someone else's number.
If you visit the salon, we may also record:
- an email address, if you give us one
- notes about your treatments and preferences, so we can give you consistent results
- photographs of a treatment, only where you have agreed to them being taken
We do not collect payment card details through this website. All treatments are paid for in person at the salon.
How we use it
- to make, confirm, change or cancel your appointment
- to send you an SMS confirmation and an appointment reminder
- to contact you if something about your booking changes
- to keep a treatment history so our work suits your skin and preferences
We only send marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time by telling us, and we will record that preference against your record. Booking confirmations and reminders are not marketing and will still be sent while you have an upcoming appointment.
Text messages
SMS confirmations, verification codes and reminders are sent through Cellcast, an Australian SMS provider. To deliver a message they receive your mobile number and the content of that message. They do not receive your treatment notes or photographs.
Where your information is stored
Booking and customer records are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, a third party hosting provider. Access is restricted: staff must sign in, and database rules limit each account to the records it is allowed to see. The salon's booking portal is invite only and not open for public sign up.
Your information is stored overseas. Our database is hosted in Singapore. This means your name, mobile number and appointment details are held on servers outside Australia. We chose a provider that keeps this information secure and restricted, but Australian privacy law may not apply to it in the same way once it is held overseas. By booking with us you consent to your information being stored in Singapore.
Google, which we use for advertising measurement, and Cellcast, which delivers our text messages, may also process information outside Australia. Cellcast is an Australian company. As described below, Google only receives the fact that a booking happened, not who made it.
Advertising and website measurement
We advertise the salon on Google. When a booking is completed, the website tells Google Ads that a booking happened and its value, so we can tell which advertising is working. This measurement records the event, not who you are: your name, mobile number and treatment details are never sent to Google.
We do not use any other advertising or tracking services on this website.
Who we share it with
Only the providers listed above, and only so far as they need it to do their job. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep customer and appointment records for as long as you remain a customer, so we have your treatment history when you return. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- delete your record
- stop sending you marketing messages
Call the salon on 0424 326 982 and we will help. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
